We are so happy to announce that our Smith Family Health Expo on Saturday, May 14th held at Calvary Baptist Church was a success thanks to the volunteers, vendors and presenters who came out to support a great cause which is our own community!
As always the Smith Family Health Expo strives to create a highly interactive and engaging environment to promote a healthy lifestyle. This year we focused on healthy eating practices, yoga and meditation, disability awareness, physical fitness and healthy life choices, financial and estate planning and our usual services of free HIV testing and blood pressure/cholesterol/glucose screenings.
Access to resources is vital for our community and the Smith Center for Community Advancement is dedicated to providing those connections to those resources as well as developing meaningful community relationships with like minded entities to strengthen and support our community.
