There is a quote that speaks to the mission and vision of this organization, “The family has an important role in providing socialization and values for children and in providing social and economic security as well. It is with this thought and context that the spirit and motivation of the Smith Center for Community Advancement (SCCA) is grounded on. The belief that the community can heal, build, and improve upon itself not just with the help of other outside entities, but from within the family itself, by empowering it’s members and providing the support and opportunities for success, is a belief that we all must invest ourselves with in order for the community to be truly prosperous and productive
The goal of the SCCA is to be a premier resource for community advancement by providing a specialized treatment of services which consist of but not limited to academic assistance, behavioral intervention, parental advocacy and supportive resources and continuous networking and promoting strong community assistance and activism for the entire family. Our goal is to assist the families in crisis with establishing a path of success and encouraging community reconnection which can result in improving family stability and most importantly community empowerment and potentially increasing productivity.
