reggie cottonThe Smith Center for Community Advancement is proud to announce Reginald L Cotton as our Smith Center Spotlight for September! Reginald aka “Reggie” has been an extremely dedicated and passionate young man who’s multiple projects in business and philanthropy has been a wonderful addition to the Chicago community as well as assisting many other nonprofit organizations in their ventures as well. Reggie is the Co-Founder of Charity Contributors of Chicago (CCC) a non-profit organization that plans events around the city of Chicago on behalf of local charities.

Reggie is also the owner of The Relax Lounge, located in Chicago Heights a new multi-purpose lounge that showcases great events including live music and outdoor sports viewing. The Relax Lounge is also the hosting place for what Reggie refers to as the “Thankful Thursday” campaign in which he supports other nonprofit organizations to host fundraisers at his venue. The Smith Center even hosted one of their events there in 2016 and it was a great success.

What makes Mr. Cotton stand out in the spotlight is his tireless efforts to help those in the community that need a helping hand. His ongoing support of other nonprofits in a unifying effort has been a tremendous networking success. And finally the fact that this intelligent and accomplished Black man has been such a committed and philanthropic  force in the community should be recognized as much as possible! He is truly a good, humble brother!

So please whenever you get a chance to see Mr. Cotton thank him for fighting the good fight and putting words into action!
