The Smith Center for Community Advancement is excited to announce our plans for the 2016 Holiday Season. As always we are all about community outreach and supporting those that are in need as well as connecting those same families and individuals with much needed resources and other services. We will be collaborating with and supporting other organizations, businesses and projects in an effort to expand our network.
Saturday, November 19th – The Smith Center will be with the Brothers of Joseph Lodge #12 in hosting their annual Pre Thanksiving Dinner. Location: 1302 W 74th St Dinner will be served @ 1:00pm
Sunday, November 20th – The Smith Center will be supporting The Blue and Gold Group with their 3rd Annual Turkey Drive – Location: 7421 S Chicago Ave @ 2pm – 6pm Register here!
Sunday – Tuesday, November 20th – 22nd – The Smith Center will be hosting our 4th annual Turkey Drive and Dinner Giveaway. Our goal is to supply 10 families in need with dinners for Thanksgiving and of course to giveaway at least 20 turkeys. (Please send all requests to infosmithcenter@gmail.com – Cutoff Date is 11/19/16)
We will also be accepting toys, clothes, coats and toiletries to pass on to other partners as well.
