On Saturday, April 19th 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church, The Smith Center for Community Advancement successfully hosted our first Family Health Fair! With almost 100 guests in attendance including volunteers, presenters and vendors; the Family Health Fair featured very personal and passionate stories of weight loss, living with depression, heart disease, physical fitness, and the healthy fundamentals of practicing yoga.
Along with vendors ranging from independent entrepreneurs, national health and wellness agencies and other community contributors, the health fair was very interactive with actual demonstrations of Yoga and Cardio Fitness that the crown definitely enjoyed, FREE HIV Screenings and Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose Readings
